JRC - Group Run - 13.25 Miles - 2-2-2014 - Details
You can probably tell from the pace and heart rate graphs that the first 5 miles of this run I successfully used the Galloway run walk run training method. At 5.25 miles I arrived at Jacksonville Running Company and picked up 4 other runners for a 5 mile loop. As the 5 of us headed to the Cow Tunnel we dropped the walk breaks.
This is my longest run in quite some time. Very possibly many years. I believe the stiffness and assorted sore spots would have been lessened had I used the Galloway method the entire run. I will find out next Saturday at the Angry Tortoise 25K where I plan to use the Galloway method the entire run.
