Fall weather has finally arrived in SW Florida and I celebrated today with a run from Bayfront Park out the Ringling bridge to St. Armands circle and back. I had not been to Bayfront before and found it to be a great spot to start a run. There was ample free parking, public restrooms and great views in every direction. When I left the park I had a good view of the bridge to the northwest.
I had planned the run using the new aerial photos of the area on Google maps and the route was as planned. I found that I had to dodge sleepy tourists and dog walkers at St. Armands and was disappointed as I ran by the Columbia restaurant because I could not smell any of their specials simmering away.
I had intended to take a photo from the top of the bridge on my way back but the wind was so strong out of the east I was afraid that if I stopped to take a photo I would not get started again. Maybe next time.

Great job, AD! It looks like a beautiful area to run. Not much farther and you would have been running on the beach and enjoying a view of the gulf.
