Meridale Rd. to Lockwood Ridge Loop by addickens at Garmin Connect - Details

This is a cutback week for my training plan where mileage and intensity is cutback to give the body a little break before increasing the distance over the next 3 weeks. This week the plan calls for 10 miles spread out over 3 easy runs. Since my plan is to run 11K (6.84 miles) on next Friday 11/11/11 I decided to split my 10 mile week into 2 runs instead of 3. I ran a new route today with a goal of about 4 miles which will give me about 11 miles for the week when including Friday's run.

Since I'm giving the body a little break this week from running intensity, I concluded that it would be a perfect time to increase the intensity of my cross training cycling workouts. Our weather is currently about the best we could hope for so this week I am planning to bike to work on Tuesday and Thursday. I rode the Green Machine to the Legacy Trail overpass grand opening yesterday and had no problem climbing the grade of the overpass with the single speed so this week it goes into service as a commuter bike.

Great job on all the running and x-training AD! If you continue this regimen you should capture an age class win in an upcoming run. Just stay away from the Klondike bars and please don't overdo it. :)
