Not my Saturday by addickens at Garmin Connect - Details
Well, this has just not been my day and there were signs of that even before I stepped out the door for my run. I did manage to get 4 miles in but that included a couple short walk breaks. At about 2.5 miles I was running pretty easily and noticed my heart rate was 138. I slowed just a bit to lower my heart rate. By 3.5 miles I felt like I was running out of gas, or short on fuel. I was able to get the 4 miles in but took a couple short walk breaks on the way home. I ended the week with 15.13 miles and 1,640 calories burned according to Garmin.
Next week is another step back week with all easy runs and only 13 miles. My first thought was to modify the training schedule since I am coming off a couple short weeks due to vacation. When I read a Ryan Hall quote on RunnersWorld.com that said if not sure to take extra rest or not to err on the side of extra rest, I decided to just follow the program and step the mileage back next week.
