Buddy Holly 10 - 2-3-2013 - Details

Today's run was named for rock and roll pioneer Buddy Holly who died 54 years ago today in a airplane crash near Clear Lake, Iowa. The same plane crash also took the life of Richie Valens and J.P. "The Big Bopper" Richardson. Don McLean, in his hit, American Pie, referred to the crash as "The day the Music Died".

The details page shows the route to be a familiar trip around my neighborhood with a little cross country section in Red Bug Slough. I did take a few well timed walk breaks and still had an average pace below 10 MPM.

I plan to run another 3 or 4 days this week and end up with a weekly total around 20 miles.

Oh Boy! Allan you've proven to me that It's So Easy to go for a run Early in the Morning, Everyday. So you'd better Not Fade Away and keep up the good work. Just Think it Over. Ah, who am I kidding. It Doesn't Matter Anymore. Rave On!
